We had planned a quick hill station getaway and initially thought of driving ourselves from Bangalore. At the last minute we decided to book a cab instead, and I'm honestly happy we did. The climb was beautiful, but I don't think either of us would have enjoyed the views if one of us had been concentrating on the road. Prashant Bro handled the hill sections carefully and never rushed through the curves. The car was comfortable, we had enough room for our luggage and we could stop whenever we found a nice viewpoint. We even ended up spending more time outside than we had planned because there was no pressure to stick to a strict schedule. A private cab made the trip feel slower in a good way. We initially thought of taking our own car to Coorg, but after the trip I'm actually glad we didn't. We had around 16 people travelling for a company outing and wanted everyone to stay together. We chose an Urbania rather than arranging multiple cars, mainly because we didn't want the group getting separated on the highway. The vehicle was spacious and comfortable, and there was enough room for everyone's luggage. The pickup was organised properly and Shankar Sir was at the location on time. He also coordinated well with our group when we had scheduled breaks. From an organiser's point of view, the biggest advantage was simply having one vehicle and one driver to coordinate with. Our weekend plan started with the usual discussion of who is going to drive? 😄 We finally decided to book a Tempo Traveller, and honestly that was one of the better decisions for our group. There were boys and girls in the group, along with quite a bit of luggage, so travelling together was much easier than taking separate cars.
